Statement Regarding Schlitterbahn Kansas City

The World Waterpark Association is deeply saddened by the tragic accident that occurred at Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City, Kansas.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and all who were impacted, and to the first responders who acted bravely and swiftly in response to this tragedy.

One accident is one accident too many. As a membership organization with waterpark owners, operators and suppliers in 45 countries around the world, safety is a top priority for us and our members.
