Claudio Barrera, P.Eng, graduated from the University of Toronto in 2002 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in manufacturing and sustainable development. Barrera joined WhiteWater in 2003 where he has had the opportunity to work in multiple engineering and management positions such as - Composites Process Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Project Manager, Water Slide Product Manager, and Director of Product Development. These positions have given him broad expertise as a manufacturer and designer to the water park industry. Today, Barrera is WhiteWater’s Director of Innovation. Additionally, he is acting chair for the ASTM F24.70 Task Group on Water Related Amusement Rides and Devices and serves in a corporate technical leadership position on product safety.
